After doing extensive research on vacuums, I decided to buy the Dyson DC25 as a replacement for my mother’s old vacuum, which after nearly 6 years of use, was no longer picking up anything.
This is definitely the best vacuum I have used. Dyson’s advertisements really emphasize the cyclone technology and this technology really does the job. Having vacuumed over areas that we vacuumed every week with the old vacuum, the DC25 picked up so much dust and particles from the carpet that we never knew were there. It was like magic seeing the entire “junk” fly around in the container.
Oh yes, the best part is that you do not have to strain yourself when leaving. No more bending over or lifting the vacuum because you are having trouble turning it. The balls make using this product a breeze. And even more, it’s fun to use.
Now, a word of note between the DC24 and DC25. I looked at both before purchasing the DC25. The only reason I would suggest the DC24 is if you live in a small apartment in a big city, do not have more than 1 floor, or are severely in need of the extra space. The DC25 is not that much more expensive, especially on Amazon where the price of the DC25 was the lowest of any other place I looked. Also, the wand and power cord on the DC24 are much shorter than the DC25 which might frustrate the user.
Go with the Dyson DC25. Best vacuum on the market. You’ll never need to buy another one.

I bought the Dyson C25 Multi-floor vacuum after several years using a cheap $50 Eureka that Consumer Reports recommended. I researched on Consumer Reports again and other websites and found very good reviews for the Dyson DC25 Multi-floor. I was so amazed at how much the Dyson sucked up from my carpets and floors. It was so light and easy to use. It made vacuuming not so much a chore. I think seeing the results of how much stuff was accumulated in the canister were satisfying.
I definitely recommend this vacuum if you are able to afford it. It’s more expensive than most, but it does the job

I don’t drop 500 bucks on an unproven product. So when something like this Dyson vacuum comes along, I wait patiently and see what the reviews say. I decided to pull the trigger and buy the DC25. It is the best 500 bucks I have ever spent. The vacuum is leaps and bounds better than any other vacuum out there and when you pull this thing out of the box, you instantly see why every part on this vacuum was designed with blinding precision, the pieces fit together seamlessly and tightly with the result being a very solid vacuum when you handle it.
The vacuum is extremely powerful even though it is not that large. In fact it’s very compact and light. The ball functions with the utmost convenience in mind; the vacuum cuts corners and gets under tables with total ease. Even with the vacuums power, it glides along carpeting and tile. The vacuum packs a punch when it comes to suction. I use it on regular carpet and also on thicker throw rugs.

Cleaning Hard Floors:
When cleaning hard floors, start cleaning a small area. Begin first with “steam only” function to let the steam deal with the dirt. During this process, the dirt and all other germs and mites are crushed and destroyed by the powerful hot steam coming out from the brush head holes. When the dirt has been “thawed” and softens, stop the steam and start using the vacuum to suction all the dirt water from the floor. After doing this, progress to the next area (again, just a small area) and do the same procedure until you are done.
Cleaning Carpets
When cleaning carpets, use the steam and vacuum function simultaneously. The reason being is that with using “steam only” the carpet gets too much humid where germs and mites can proliferate and may take time to dry out. With the vacuum function, the steam does not have the time to deposit in form of water because it will be sucked together with dirt, germs and other small particles.

Anyways, I had no luck with the SpotBot I purchased so I was a little reluctant to try another Bissell Product. I saw the good ratings for the 9400 and figured I would give it a shot. It seems to have everything one could need on a steam cleaner and it even includes Scotchgard Protection. I tried the Bissell on a tough stain that had set in for a couple of months. Nothing could get it out not even the Rug Doctor from the supermarket. At first the Bissell did not totally get it out. So I tried it again with the hottest water I could get and heated the water with the built-in heater. Sure enough it got it out like a charm. I think Chem-Dry will have to find another customer now!
Steam cleaners are kind of a pain to use with all the filling of tanks and solutions and they usually soak your carpet. But I finally found something that can get up just about any stain and leave my carpet clean as a whistle. We have a winner!

I didn’t think a cheap, inexpensive, household extractor would do a good job, but I was wrong. It does a great job. The spinning brissles do the trick, they really spin fast. It scrubs stains out better than a washing machine can get stains out from clothing. My friend uses this thing for house cleaning and she has been told many times that she does a better job than the carpet cleaning companies around our area. Reviewers mentioned the exhaust being a design flaw because it breathes into the carpet. It is not a flaw, the warm air assists in drying the carpet. The turbo paw is fairly well built, it doesn’t spin as quickly as the main bristles but it does much better than just a regular scrubber. I think peoples’ expectations of the turbo paw are set high after seeing the floor extractor in action. I thinks it’s great especially for $225. Can’t top it. ONE TIP: After shampooing, you may want to go over the carpet one final time to get any excess water from the carpet, turn your heater OFF. The heater draws from the 12 amp motor which steals power from the sucking mechanism.

I would truly give this vacuum 100 stars if I could. Do you know what it is like to receive something that exceeds your expectations 10-fold? This was not an impulsive or inexpensive purchase, but it was worth every cent to have everything I have wished I could have in a vacuum.

I purchased this 2 weeks ago, and I am very impressed with it so far. I have a dog and 2 cats, so getting all the pet hair is usually impossible. Not so with this vacuum!!! It has bristles on the edges that clean pet hair out of the baseboard corners perfectly, so I don’t need to break out the attachments. Plus, the sides of the vacuum don’t scuff my white trim like other vacuums have.
The suction is exceptional. It leaves NO pet hair behind! I’ve even tested the vacuumed carpet with a pet hair tape roller and come up with nothing. It leaves NO REMAINING HAIR in the berber carpet! Even when I get down and eyeball the carpet to see if there’s any hair left, it’s clean! It gets ALL of the hair.
I love that the attachments are on a separate unit…it makes it very easy to vacuum the hair off the couch and steps. Some people see this as a disadvantage, but I completely disagree. I think it’s great. The suction on the attachment unit is also excellent. It is without a doubt the best suction I have ever seen on attachments.

I got home and put this thing together as my wife watched. She said why don’t you take for a test drive and clean the house. I said no way I’m cleaning the house…cleaning is for women…
As I was cleaning the house I noticed that the water it was picking up was absolutely filthy. The floormate did a great job of cleaning the ceramic tile and vacuuming all the specs of junk that end up on the floor. As a dry vacuum it worked great…picking up hair and crumbs around the kitchen and miscellaneous stuff off the floor of the kids rooms. One has to move the floor mate a little slower than a regular wet mop…but on the plus side…the drying time for the floor is reduced drastically when you use the wet suction option on the dial.
Overall, you can toss your mops and buckets and use this to vacuum daily and to mop the floors however often one mops. I actually look forward to cleaning the floors again.

This floormate is an excellent floor cleaner. You can vacuum and with a turn of a knob you are ready to wet mop and turn the knob again and you can dry the floor, all without changing to another machine. It is so easy to use and easy to clean up after you are done. Before I used to sweep the floor, then pull out the mop bucket and mop-which is a big chore, and it would take much longer to get the job done. I love the Hoover Floormate Spin Scrub Floor Cleaner.

This is a fantastic product! I bought it three months ago, and have been very pleased with its performance. A couple of tips if you are planning on getting one:
1. Use a real vac first. The dry vac performance of this item is not stellar. It’s good for picking up small amounts of dust, but anything more than that will be a problem. Plus, the dirt goes into the same cup as the waste water, making cleanup more work.
2. Let the clean water sit for a bit on the floor. Press the trigger and move forward to put down the clean water. Then move to a different area. After a few minutes, returned to where you started and vac up the water (with the brushes turning). This gives the cleaning solution time to dissolve the dirt.
3. The Hoover cleaning solution is OK, but you can get excellent results with plain vinegar (about 1 oz per tank) or non-sudsing ammonia (about ½ oz per tank). Use hot water for best results.
4. Clean the machine when you’re done. Pay particular attention to the filter (rinse under water) and the waste water tank. Also pull off the front nozzle and check for debris in the intake.
5. Don’t store the machine with the tanks full. Some residual water will always be left in the machine after you’re done, so store it where a few drips wouldn’t be a problem.
6. Be careful when taking off the waste tank – use both hands since it can tip easily until you get the hang of it.
I’ve been very pleased with how this machine cleans ceramic tile 
- leaves it “barefoot clean” far better than a regular mop.
